About the App

EmPow is designed to help young people discover opportunities, gain employment skills, and understand basic financial concepts like saving, budgeting, and credit.

Our Social Issue

EmPow was created to empower the youth in finding their confidence to start building their careers through learning about financial literacy and finding opportunities. We came up with this idea by wanting to do something unique, in our lives a lack of confidence and opportunity is common and the idea is talked about a lot between students but nothing was ever done to combat this issue.

Our Process

Before we started any sort of designing, we decided to get some more information on our topic through studying our competitors, surveying other students to know what is more important to include and to see the general knowledge of our audience. Once we had the information we needed we started designing, starting from a paper prototype, wireframe, and then making an app with three sections, finding opportunities, understanding finance and lastly finding employees for businesses to use.
